What does Rusty Gates, Ernest Hemingway and MayFly™ have in common?
We blame both of them for our business. The "Big Two Hearted River" story and Hex fishing up at Gates' Au Sable Lodge and Uncle Jack, cousin Jack and Scott's Big fly fishing the UP adventure. Was Hemingway lying about the real name of the river in his story? We went to fish them both to find out. We highly recommend you read "Big Two Hearted River", take an adventure, fish both the Fox and the Two Heart rivers, and you decide. In Michigan it's one of the "Holy Grails" of fly fishing.
